On April 10, 2011, the "Long March 3A", a Chinese orbital carrier rocket, launched in Xichang Satellite Launch Center at 4: 47 AM, which successfully sent Beidou navigation satellites into geosynchronous transfer orbits. The Beidou satellite of navigation satellite system first launched in the year of 2011, which was also the first aerospace launching during China's "Twelfth Five-year" Plan period. The successful launching of the eighth Beidou navigation satellite, will form a Beidou regional satellite navigation system with the second and the fifth satellited launched in 2007 and 2009. After a period time of testing in orbit and system adjustment, it will beneficial to the whole society, and it can provide basic services for China most regions, which include providing positioning accuracy within 20 meters, and its time reaching 50 nanosecond.

All these projects have been approved by the State and they are being planned and constructed.
