In 2010, the passenger volume of national civil aviation is 268 million which was up 37 million and 16.1% comparing with that in last year. The passenger volume of domestic airline is 248 million which up 33 million and 15.1% comparing with that in last year, among which airline in HK, Macao and Taiwan with a passenger volume of 7 million which up 2 million and 29.9% comparing. It is 19 million and ups 5 million and 31.1% for international airline. The annual growth rate of China passenger volume during the “eleventh five years” is 14.1%.
In the first 11 months of 2011, passenger volume of national civil aviation is 269 million with a year-on-year growth of 9.1%, while it is 250 million and with a year-on-year growth of 9.2% for domestic airline, 6.9 million and with a year-on-year growth of 12.7% for HK, Macao and Taiwan airline, and 19 million and with a year-on-year growth of 8.7% for international airline.
By the end of 2010, there are 175 airports with certification (all of them with regular flights), up 9 comparing with that in last year; number of transportation aircrafts in civil aviation industry is 1,597, up 180; number of national regular flight is 1,880 and the airline mileage is 3.981 million km with double distance while it is 2.765 million km without double distance; number of regular domestic flight available cities (not including HK, Macao and Taiwan) is 172 while it is 43 for regular flights from HK to mainland cities, 5 from Macao to mainland cities and 32 from Taiwan to mainland cities; number of regular international flight available countries is 54 while it is 110 for available international cities.
The “Twelfth Five Years” Plan for the Development of China Civil Aviation (Plan for short) is issued in April, 2011. The Plan proposes that number of transportation airport will be more than 230 by 2015; passenger volume will be 450 million with an annual growth rate of 11%; the flight normal rate will be higher than 80%; transport aircrafts will be 2,750 with an annual growth rate of 11%. With the continuously enlarging GDP, increasing per-capita disposable income and developing China tourism, market scale of China air passenger transport will keep expanding.
