With the fast development of China real estate market, real estate industry has become one of pillar industries in China, and it plays an important role in driving investment, stimulating consumption, enlarging employment and maintaining steady growth of economy. Since the act of real estate economy becomes increasing frequent, the scientific and rational assessment should be carried out for many economic activities, such as real estate business, mortgage, insurance, pawn and property tax. Driven by this kind of demand, real estate appraisal business keeps expanding, and the size of real estate appraisal industry is gradually enlarging. So far, under the circumstances of continuing perfection of laws and regulations, the continuous improvement of industry standards and the increase of employees' business level, real estate industry has become an important intermediary services industry.

At present, there are more than 6,000 intermediary institutions that take up real estate appraisal business; there are approximately 35,000 appraisers who have gained the real estate appraisal certification, and there are over 250,000 employees in the real estate appraisal industry. Among all the real estate appraisal institutions, there were 239 enterprises winning the title of "the National First-level Quality". But at the moment, the real estate appraisal business scope is relatively narrow; the types of business are not far too simple.
