Mold is an indispensable technological equipment in industrialization production, which are made of metal or non-metal materials. It's internationally called "the mother of industry". Nowadays, there are over 10 auto press tool enterprises with a hundred million Yuan above of output value, and there are about 20 enterprises with 50 million to a hundred million Yuan of output value. They all become the main force in China auto mold industry.

Since March, 2009, China auto market has continued to heat up. According to statistics from China Association of Automobile Manufacturer, the output of China automobile was 13.791 million in 2009, with a year-on-year increase of 48.30%, China surpassed USA at the first and became the first country with largest production and sales volume. In 2010, as the overall revival of China's economy, China automobile industry was regarded as one of ten revival industries. So, it was greatly supported by national policies. In addition, with the promotion of "Automobile Going Into Rural Movement", the output of almost all major automobile enterprises increased and the total output in that year surpassed 18 million vehicles, which made China maintain the top production and marketing country in the world. Meanwhile, foreign automobile giants were thinking about to enter China's market, which contributed to increase investment and promote automobile production in global major automobile markets, besides auto mold industry is a very important investment field.

At the aspect of global market, as big earthquakes and tsunami took place in March, 2011, Japan automobile industry was greatly shocked, which further shook the global automobile industry chain, as well as promoted Japan's enterprises to accelerate theirs pace to enter emerging markets, including China's market. As to Japan parts manufacturers, strengthening their vitality in emerging markets is an important way to maintain and promote automobile industry's competitiveness. What's more, in order to prevent the similar risks, many countries' auto giants began to re-seek new cooperative partners or establish safe manufacturing bases. They realized that they can not only rely on Japan's market. In a word, China auto mold industry will have new opportunities to undertake the global mold manufacturing.

In 2011, a series of negative impacts started to emerge, such as traffic jams, auto off-gas. Furthermore, since economy was recovered; the "Automobile Going Into Rural Movement" exited the market; buy cars belongs to accumulating consumption; plus residents income growth increases slowly, the development of automobile industry will lower down, but it's still kept at a high development level in the future, which will promote the sustainable and steady development of auto mold market.

According to "Twelfth Five-year" Plan of Mold industry, China's total sales revenue of mold industry will reach to around 174 billion Yuan by 2015, among which there will be 4 billion Yuan of importing mold, accounting for about 15% of the total sales revenue by 2015. If China auto mold industry, which serves for automobile industry accounts for 40% of the total mold industry, the total sales revenue will increase to 70 billion Yuan by 2015.
